Science Report Instructions
Writing a Simple Research Report for Mrs. Talarico
1. Get index cards or slips of paper.
2. Find sources.
3. For each source, complete an index card:
Google, Just ask Jeeves, are search engines, not
sources. I need the URL for the website you use-
not search results.
4. Start gathering interesting facts on index cards: facts -
not complete sentences or paragraphs.
5. When you have enough – sort cards/facts that go
together by topic.
6. Turn these into paragraphs using your own words. Minimum of 5 paragraphs – 3 detail paragraphs plus an introduction and conclusion paragraph.
7. Add the sources to the report.
8. Include an illustration.
